Meet and Greet (Initial Meeting)
Each project begins with a complimentary consultation either by phone or in person. In our initial meeting this is not only an opportunity to see the collection of work but it is also a chance to get to know you and your event tastes, style and individual personality. Your invitation design literally starts with a piece of paper and our conversation. Design is done to you specifications only. We find it most helpful for you to tell us all about your special occasion. What do you love most about your chosen location? What is your color or theme? What do your flowers look like? How did the two to you meet? Any details that will help us understand the dream that will soon be a reality on your upcoming day.

Some like to present actual tear sheets from magazines, others provide fabric swatches from their bridesmaid dresses or event dcor. Or we dream it up right there on the spot!

During our consultation, we will brainstorm ideas and figure out what items will suite you best for your design needs. Once these are determined, a price quote is prepared based on your project requirements. This usually takes 3-5 days, but may vary depending on the complexity and scale of your project.

Finalizing the Details & Beginning the Design Work
Once your project details have been agreed upon, you will be provided with a Service Contract that identifies the total cost, deliverables, and time schedule for the project.

At this time you should also provide any information that you want included in the design of your project (i.e. wording of your invitation/announcement text, images that will be used, etc.).
Design will only begin after signed contract and deposit is received.

(ohhh ahhhh) Design Approval
CLD will present at least three to five design options for you to review.
You will then have the opportunity to provide feedback and identify any changes you want to make or new ideas you may wish to incorporate into the final draft. After we discuss your comments, the changes are integrated into a revised version that is submitted to you for approval.
Once you have approved this version it will be processed into a "final digital proof" for final sign off.

Printing Approval & Final Sign off
Before printing begins you will be sent the "final digital proof" (usually by e-mail).
At this time you will review and confirm that every detail is perfect: the layout, typestyle, spelling, grammar and punctuation. You then must email or fax back proof approval with your signature on it.
Once you have approved the digital proof, CLD is not responsible for any future changes or mistakes.

Going to Press
Once you have given final approval the project will go to the printer for production.
We assure you that no design will go to print unless you are completely satisfied.

Invitations can take anywhere from 2 weeks through 2 months. Some items can be rushed but this can incur additional charges. This variation in time is due to our current workload and the size and complexity of the job. Rush jobs can be done for an additional fee.
